The atmosphere

Amarilla Golf adjoins Golf del Sur, on the south-east coast of Tenerife. The neighbourhood is laid out around a course where several holes are played above the ocean: hole 5, a par 3, is played facing the waves. The ground slopes gently from the course down to the San Miguel marina.

Daily life is sporting and quiet: golfers at first light, riders from the equestrian centre next door, sailors from the marina, walkers on the volcanic shore. There is no commercial seafront and no nightlife. The club house and the marina restaurants hold the life of the neighbourhood.

The neighbourhood shops cover everyday needs, and San Blas, five minutes away, takes over for the rest. Los Abrigos and San Miguel provide the restaurants and the services. The South airport is ten minutes away by car.

The market offers apartments and townhouses in residences with a pool facing the fairways, along with contemporary villas from recent developments. Those developments have raised the level of finish in the neighbourhood. Prices stay below those of the west coast; the modernisation projects under way around the San Miguel marina are worth following if you are thinking about a resale horizon.

Amarilla Golf suits buyers who want the course, the ocean and quiet in the same day, with the airport within reach. It is a second home you come back to often and without fatigue. For a stay without a car, on the other hand, the neighbourhood does not work.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about Amarilla Golf

The two neighbourhoods touch and share the same residential character. Golf del Sur is more established, denser and closer to the shops of San Blas; Amarilla Golf is more open, with its course on the ocean and its marina. Golfers often play both courses. For a first purchase, the decision comes down to the home itself, its view and its orientation.

Yes, on two counts. The Marina San Miguel has affordable berths as well as diving and sailing schools. Modernisation projects are gradually improving its surroundings, which counts for the homes nearby. Day to day, it brings a few cafés and restaurants facing the boats, which is missing elsewhere in the neighbourhood.

Yes, and it is one of the few sectors in the south where contemporary developments still come out of the ground: villas and residences facing the course. The specifications are contemporary, with private pools, home automation and wide glazing, against the older stock of the neighbourhood. We follow the launches and can position you ahead of the public release.
